Tobias’ work focuses on the interface between research and development and commercial, where he typically supports clients on strategic, digital, and organizational issues. He leads the European R&D Roundtable for medical-device companies and the Global Technical Development (CMC) Roundtables for pharmaceutical companies.

As part of his work in healthcare innovation, Tobias leads McKinsey’s Global HealthTech Network, a network of more than 300 digital-healthcare start-ups, and hosts the Health Tech CEO/Founder Roundtable.

Tobias is a biochemist and immunologist. He was previously a research scientist in immuno-oncology, with a focus on leukemia, at the Institute of Immunology at the University of Tübingen.
